Kendal Calling 2024 (this opportunity is now full)
At Kendal Calling, Festival Angels will be running a Safe Space located in the Campsite Area. The aim of each Safe Place is to offer a place of safety for festival-goers including space to: sit; find help and support; have a brew; chat about life; escape the madness of the festival; signpost to other agencies; etc.
In addition we will have Detached teams who will offer patrols across the festival site supporting festival-goers in a variety of ways including: putting up tents; helping navigate the festival site; spotting people who could be vulnerable, struggling or alone; and joining in the festival fun!
The shifts will involve staffing the safe space (whatever that looks like!) which will be available for festival-goers for the full duration of Kendal Calling and from there carrying out detached work. Shift selection will be open closer to the festival.
We ask for a minimum of 20 hours including one overnight or weekend shift to ensure that we cover the full rota. Camping will be provided within Staff Camping which may be a long (25 minute) walk from our Safe Hub base. The campsite should have toilets and shower facilities.
Kendal Calling 2024 is 1st - 4th August. Visit the Kendal Calling website.
