Report Shows Amazing Impact of Festival Teams:
A Festivals Impact Report shows the incredible contribution made at music festivals and events across England through faith based volunteer teams in 2024.
The report, which can be found at festivalangels.org.uk/impact, shows how almost 1000 volunteers invested at least 16,000 hours at over 60 festivals and events over the 2024 summer season.
The season started in April with 22 Festival Angels at Porthleven Food Festival, Cornwall and concluded over August Bank Holiday weekend with 470 people taking part in We Are The Church at Creamfields, Street Pastors at Reading Festival and Festival Angels teams at Leeds Festival, Upton-upon-Severn Sunshine Festival and The Piece Hall Halifax.
The Impact Report shares stories and statistics from festivals including Isle of Wight Street Pastors, Download Chaplaincy and Festival Angels at Tunes in the Dunes, Parklife, Download, Bedford and Derby Summer Sessions, Latitude and Kendal Calling.
Over the season teams have offered support and welfare to festival goers in a range of weather conditions including glorious hot sunshine, 70mph winds and monsoon type rain.
Hundreds of items such as plasters, sanitary products, wet wipes, ponchos and foil blankets were given to festival-goers with over six thousand 'Jesus Loves Festivals' mugs, Gospels or tattoos distributed.
The Impact Report can be downloaded from festivalangels.org.uk/impact. Applications for 2025 festival teams will open in the New Year.
