Each year at Leeds Festival the Festival Angels Prayer Cafe makes around 50,000 cuppas for festival-goers which means nearly 100,000 biscuits (be honest who ever only takes one biscuit!) Our cafe is a safe and welcome space for thousands of young people and shows that Jesus Loves Festivals.
This year we are asking the local church and community groups to consider becoming Biscuit Angels! The festival is 20-25 August (so need to be in date!) If you have some biscuits to collect please complete the form below or email [email protected] .
If you are near Warrington then We Are Church at Creamfields collects Jammie Dodgers - visit them on Facebook.
Many thanks for becoming Biscuit Angels!
Media Release - Biscuit Angels:
Plans are underway for the fifteenth year of Festival Angels at August Bank Holiday's Leeds Festival including a new idea of an army of Biscuit Angels.
The team of around 200 volunteers will be running a Prayer Cafe, Lost Property, Detached and AIR (Assistance, Information, Response) Hubs at the Bramham Park site.
Festival Angels, which was the vision of 79 year old Kate Dickinson from Thorner Methodist Church in 2011, invested at least 16,000 hours at 60 festivals and events across England in 2024 with nearly 1000 volunteers part of the Festival Angels family.
The Prayer Cafe at Leeds Festival is one of the biggest elements to the work with unlimited tea, coffee, hot chocolate, juice and biscuits served in limited edition Festival Angels mugs.
Over 6 days the team serves at least 50,000 hot drinks most of which are accompanied by a biscuit or two.
In 2025 Festival Angels are appealing to local church and community groups, as well as our own Festival Angel teams, to become Biscuit Angels by donating packets of biscuits to help us support and feed thousands of festival goers.
